Loft on Lake is Chicago’s premier destination for a private event, perfect for those interested in a space capable of transforming for the ultimate alternative experience.

Our space features raw architectural elements such as exposed brick & ductwork, warm oak timber ceilings at 12-20ft tall, and our most distinguished feature – a 65ft skylight that runs the length of the main room, making Loft on lake a destination spot for any daytime event: baby showers, wedding showers, kid’s birthday parties, pop-up shops, etc.

Once night begins to fall, you’ll see the true beauty of all the lighting that is included with the space, creating a warm, intimate ambiance for your guests to enjoy each other’s company.

 

FOOD & DRINK REQUIREMENTS

We have a wonderful list of Catering Partners for you to select from for food & beverage service for your event! Your full service caterer has all updated insurance requirements, food licensing and liquor licensing so your event is covered! They’ll also provide all staffing, including licensed bartenders, and setup and cleanup for your event, as well. If you’d like recommendations, just let us know and we can help connect you to a few caterers who may best fit your event.

BYOB & FOOD DROP-OFFS

We are BYOB friendly, work with your caterer to confirm your selections and ensure all the small details are covered. We highly suggest doing a mixers package through the caterer if you opt to do BYOB so they can bring all the bar essentials that you might not be aware of. No drop-off service is allowed, you must have service staff and licensed bartenders for your event, no exceptions.

EVENT HOURS

Private Events are generally quoted at 8 hour rental periods, to allow for plenty of time for setup, cleanup and the event itself. Minimum rental period is 6hours, max is 10 hours.

All events end at midnight (except for NYE which ends at 1 am) if you would like to extend for an extra hour, an additional ‘Late Night’ fee would apply.

EVENT INSURANCE

We require caterers to be on site for all events. If you’ve cleared with LOL management to not use a caterer (limited to specific types of events), you will be required to provide your own event insurance. You can secure event insurance easily, for:
