Things to Consider When Choosing a Hotel

Finding the right hotel for you and your guests is about more than just the room rate. Here are a few things worth asking before you book:

Are there deposits or attrition fees? Find out whether the hotel requires a deposit or charges an attrition fee if your room block isn’t filled.
Where can you have your first look? If you’re planning a first look, ask what spaces or locations the hotel has available for that special moment.
Is there a space to get ready? Ask whether a suite or larger room is available for you and your wedding party to comfortably get ready together.
Are there fees for welcome bags? Some hotels charge a fee to deliver gift or welcome bags to guests’ rooms, so be sure to ask ahead of time.
What are your transportation options? Does the hotel offer a shuttle or have recommendations for getting to and from Loft on Lake? If not, let us know—we’ve got you!
Can you offer multiple hotel options? You don’t have to put everyone in the same hotel. Consider offering your guests a higher-end option alongside a more budget-friendly choice.
Is the hotel pet-friendly? If your furry family member is making an appearance at your wedding, be sure to check the hotel’s pet policy before booking.
