No matter who you choose for your floral design, please ask them if they use floral foam in their arrangements.
This water-absorbing green foam is contributing to the world’s micro plastic problem.
Not only is floral foam not recyclable or biodegradable, after disposal of the foam after your event, all the the tiny plastic materials find their way to waterways and can be eaten by a range of freshwater and marine animals.
Also, floral foam is made from two chemicals considered to be hazardous for humans: phenol and formaldehyde
Please encourage your florist to not use plastic floral foam in your arrangements!
All of the florists listed here do not use floral foam in their floral creations.
