Venue Manager of the Year (One vote per category permitted)
This award will be presented to an individual venue manager who consistently meets the goals of corporate, association, and nonprofit clients by providing an outstanding event space and a high level of service.

Cher Garrett is owner and manager of Loft on Lake, a unique event venue in the West Loop of Chicago. A successful business owner and creative leader in the Fulton Market area for the past 20 years, she also owns award-winning branding and design firm KGA Garrett Associates Inc. Garrett is recognized for building well-known brands for large corporations and has provided creative planning through event execution and promotion for top-tier clients. She applies the same dedicated professionalism and care to all the events held at Loft on Lake. In 2007, she and her husband, Steve, acquired the Loft on Lake building at 1366 West Lake Street. With their children, they renovated the structure. Since then, it has become one of Chicago’s top venue destinations. Loft on Lake is a member of the Chicago Convention and Tourism Bureau and Here’s Chicago, is a Wish Upon a Wedding sponsor, and received BizBash’s Best New Chicago Venue award in 2009.
