This summer, Loft on Lake has already played host to a fair share of corporate events. This time last year our event venue was waist-deep in wedding season – and while we still have dozens of weddings scheduled, also having tradeshows, corporate dinners and non-profit events is an interesting change of pace for us.
One such event Loft on Lake played host to was planned by Atout France, the French Tourism Development Bureau for a trade-show of sorts, where Atout France invited a group of various vendors, such as the luxurious five-star Hotel du Palais, as well as travel agencies and gourmet food vendors, who came to show their offerings and speak to possible clients in a casual, unique setting. Loft on Lake was the third of many stops in a nation-wide tour of cities large and small all across the country. Vendors and clients mingled freely throughout the evening, talking under large while cafe umbrellas. The umbrellas, together with classic French music playing over our speakers and the light flooding from our skylight, gave the space a feel of an outdoor cafe.
Froggy’s Catering provided the guests a delicious buffet, filled with various French-themed dishes. Later in the evening, Froggy’s provided an exciting live chef demonstration.
iGourmet was on hand for guests to sample various cheeses, salamis, spreads and other delicious authentic treats. Maybe it was the wine, but the ladies behind the table were excited to talk about their products, as each had a long and interesting story behind them.

The event was tres magnifique – we loved the food, the music and being suddenly surrounded by dozens of people speaking French – it was quite a treat.
