In between shopping, people flocked to the Lofty Photo Booth for some fun photos with vintage props, animal masks and crazy glasses.There were fun activities going on all day, concessions available for purchase , music provided by Cage & Aquarium and the Lofty Photo Booth.

Fig Catering and Baked by Pure Kitchen provided some wonderful edibles like sriracha honey ginger popcorn, falafel sandwiches, brownies and also fresh squeezed lemon aide mixers.

Luscious Layers chocolate chip and chocolate dipped cookies energized shoppers and so did Katherine Anne Confections with their famous truffles and gourmet marshmallows

1. Take a trip to the farmer’s market. With summer fast approaching, Chicago farmer’s markets are opening with full force. Head to your nearest one for local and organic foods, and then take it home to mom and prepare her a locally grown, organic meal! You can feel just as good about supporting local business and environmentally friendly practices as you do about treating Mom to a great meal. Several markets open this Saturday, just in time to plan a great meal!

2. If you buy flowers, go organic. Organic flowers are growing in popularity due to the fact that they’re grown without pesticides. This makes them the more environmentally friendly option, and you can even pick them up on your stop to the farmer’s market! If you can’t make it there, many delivery sites offer organic flowers.

3. Or, better yet, plant your own. If your mom has a green thumb, help her out this Sunday by working on a garden together. Whether you decide on flowers or vegetables, spending quality time in the garden with Mom can be just as good as any gift. Make an even more earth-friendly project of it by foregoing the pesticides for more natural options!

4. If outdoor activities are unappealing, go for an at-home organic spa day. While a day at the spa is fun, it can also be pricey and full of harsh chemicals. Instead, have a DIY spa day and make your own face and hair treatments from natural ingredients found in your home. Both your body and the earth will appreciate the gesture, and it’s a great way for you and Mom to spend a relaxing day together.

5. Support local business by purchasing locally made jewelry. There are plenty of places in Chicago to find unique jewelry, and you can find just the thing for Mom in many shops across the city. Buying something locally made supports local business while also being a unique gift idea.

6. But sometimes Mom insists that you don’t get her anything, so make a donation in her name instead. Find a cause that promotes a healthy Mother Earth on Mother’s Day and make a donation in Mom’s name.

With an open bar, local organic appetizers, and prizes to be won, those in attendance had a good time while also doing good for their Chicago community!

The event drew quite the crowd, and the Loft was open and welcoming. Guests mingled and had a great time while doing good for their Chicago community!

Loft on Lake hosted the beautiful wedding of Jillian and Josef!

The Grand Loft really looked pretty, decked out with simple white chairs and ivory backdrop (by Art of Imagination), on this sunny Spring day.

Their themed wedding incorporated iconic Chicago elements like tables named for different city neighborhoods and artwork of Chicago architecture adorning the space.

The couple chose an authentic menu of traditional mexican edibles such as a variety of tacos, guacamole, and pico de gallo!

The bar drew a crowd with the specialty beer  ”Spotted Cow”, an exclusive beer only brewed and sold in the small town of New Glarus, Wisconsin.

The honorary couple was surrounded by their loved ones and danced the night away to tunes from Toast and Jam!

We wish Jillian and Josef a lifetime of happiness and bliss, Congrats!

Loft on Lake was proud to host an exclusive two-part event designed and executed by Pure Kitchen and Ryan Alexander Events.

This event consisted of Moroccan themed edibles, signature cocktails, live music, and a sequin studded photo booth!

The first part of the day was an exclusive luncheon for event professionals. This gathering was specifically designed to showcase the new and creative approach Pure Kitchen was taking on for their menu options.

The space was easily transformed into a middle-eastern paradise with warm-toned drapery and colored lighting which Art of Imagination designed flawlessly.

Pure Kitchen brought in a lengthy dining table which seated all the guests in the  space in a modern-formal fashion. Everything was meticulously placed and designed from the menu cards to the seating.

The event started out with guests mingling with one another, enjoying a few spring-time cocktails, and taking advantage of the photo booth!

When the meal started the food consisted of traditional middle-eastern dishes such as lamb, lentil dahl, and lemon chutney. Everything was delicious and so unique!

Later in the evening Pure Kitchen held a professional tasting for multiple brides and grooms to be to sample the cuisine Pure Kitchen offers. Multiple vendors were present as well to answer any questions the couples had from professional portrait sketchers to invitation designers.

Overall both events were a true success and the vendors that contributed did an amazing job! We hope to see all of them back in the space very soon!

Air Austria turned Loft on Lake into a Boeing 767 set to unveil their brand new “Business class” seats to the attendees.

The evening began with speeches of gratitude and excitement from not only the airline itself but the Vienna Convention Bureau who proudly announced the recent addition of non-stop flights from Chicago to Vienna beginning in May.

The event was filled with interactive stations where guests could learn more about what Austria has to offer.

Guests sipped traditional Austrian wine and delectable appetizers catered by Jordan’s Food of Distinction while awaiting the unveiling of the new, modernized seats.

Guests all had a chance to try the new seating themselves while flight attendants explained the features.

One lucky Grand Prize Raffle winner was given a FREE round-trip flight from Chicago to Vienna and hotel stay for 3 nights. What an amazing prize!

The event was a total success and everyone left with a sense of excitement and knowledge about the airline and the country of Austria.

Vienna, it’s now or never!

We love seeing clients return to Loft on Lake! We are happy that these out-of-state businesses find LOL comfortable and a place to achieve successful events.

It was a great turn out to this informational seminar, full of information and demonstration regarding the schooling opportunities provided by the NLI.

The event was very interactive for guests; from educational presentations to a tutorial of new popular industry products and procedures.

The space looked very-well put together with detailed linens on tables of ten and even intricate and edible centerpieces.

Guests seemed to really enjoy themselves and learned a lot about the National Laser Institute and its offerings.

Doctors, Nurses, and other practitioners socialized and enjoyed refreshments provided by Drinks on Me after the presentations.

Loft on Lake thoroughly enjoyed having NLI in our space and we hope to see them again soon!

We loved working with Justin and Jessica, they were an absolute delight! We followed them from the beginning through their planning process and thoroughly enjoyed seeing the final outcome!

This wedding was classic and elegant with decor that was stylishly simple, reflecting the natural feel of the space.
